Most snow guards will hold back the majority of snow and ice on slick, glossy-coated, sloped roofs so the frozen mass can melt or be safely released in tiny pieces. When used in conjunction with our guards, the LeafBlox will act as an ice guard to reduce winter gutter congestion, ice damming, and icicles. The black UV-treated polypropylene bristles absorb heat on sunny days which in turn accelerates the snow and ice melting process along the gutter to minimize buildup. In winter climates, the combination of snow guards and Leafblox assures property and pedestrians below will be safe, and water will flow away from the structure as intended.

Will maple helicopter and other seeds grow if lodged in the brush?

No, seeds lodged in the bristles won't grow because there isn't any water for them to drink. Even if they do sprout, which is unlikely, they will perish on the first dry day.

Can a gutter guard void my warranty or damage my roof?

Yes, other gutter guards and helmets fasten to the roof and intersect it, which may invalidate a roof warranty. In contrast, LeafBlox doesn't intersect with or even touch the roof and is suitable for all types of roofs.

What is the LeafBlox "Fit Criteria"?

LeafBlox Fit Criteria—Fill the width of the gutter as best as you can, keeping the brush relaxed and without unnecessarily compressing the bristles because the gutter water runs between them. Although a "raised profile" or crowned shape is preferred, it isn't always feasible with some prefabricated gutter styles, such as metal building gutters, carport gutters, and awning gutters.

About LeafBlox

The inception of the LeafBlox™ product occurred during a trade show in 2007, where Brion McMullen from SnoBlox Snojax crossed paths with Bob and Randy Schreiber of GutterBrush. We were immediately impressed when we saw the GutterBrush products and ordered them for our house. After the first winter using this product, we realized that the black UV-treated polypropylene bristles absorb heat on sunny days, which accelerated the snow and ice melting process in the gutter to minimize ice buildup and jumpstart the melting process to get the gutters flowing again. We loved these gutter guards so much that we asked Bob and Randy if they would privately label them for us. While it is no secret that LeafBlox™ is a GutterBrush product, it has become essential for us to carry because of how it complements our snow retention product line.
