Short Screw Down Bar Mounting Bracket with SnoBar Screw Down Short Mounting Bracket with ColorBar

This mounting bracket, also known as the "Short ColorBracket", is a mechanically fastened attachment point for mounting the SnoBar and ColorBar snow rails.

This short bracket is only used on screw-down R-panels where the high ribs do not exceed one inch in height. The advantage of the "Short ColorBracket" is that it is priced lower and has a stealthy profile to make it less noticeable on a metal roof. The face of the bracket has a slot so it can accept a cut piece of leftover roofing stock. The ColorBar rail, sold separately, also has a channel that can accept a leftover piece of the panel to help the system blend in with the roof. The "Short ColorBracket" includes a stick-on foam sealer pad that is placed under the bracket for a weather-tight seal. It does NOT include a bar, mounting screws, or bar mounting fasteners.

About SnoBar-ColorBar

In 1992, Don Drew and Dick Riddell invented SnoBar, the original standing seam-mounted snow rail, earning a patent the following year. The first version, Sno Horse, was installed by Jim Huff at Denver International Airport in 1992. Inspired by office desk name plates, he ingeniously created an aluminum bar with a channel that could accept a strip of colored metal in its face. This design evolved into ColorBar, featuring rapid installation with patented drop-in clamps. Roof clamps, available in stainless steel or aluminum, secure the bar to standing seam metal roofs, making SnoBar the longest-standing snow rail system. There is a SnoBar and ColorBar snow retention system for every sloped roof prone to snow slides. Both snow rails can be powder-coated to match your metal roof.
