The clear 3M™ VHB™ Tape #4910 is 0.040 in (1.0 mm) thick.
It is a general-purpose acrylic adhesive with a firm foam core on both sides. For a precise fit, the tape is cut to the shape of the SnowBreaker. This fast and easy mounting method is viewed as a temporary bonding method for the SnowBreaker. The 3M™ VHB™ offers flexibility of application with its viscoelasticity and powerful ability to bond to a variety of surfaces.
This application is for mounting the SnowBreaker on a metal roof.
The mounting surface should be cleaned with an alcohol pad before using this product. The recommended application is at least 50 degrees. 100 percent cure is achieved in 72 hours when temperatures are between 70 to 100 degrees. It is strongly recommended that the SnowBreaker be sealed around the perimeter with SureBond SB-190 adhesive. Failure to do so may result in the premature release of the snow guards.

Mounting snow guards without roof penetrations has always been the preferred attachment method, especially on standing seam metal roofs. If the snow guard releases, the 3m tape does not leave permanent residue behind. If the SnowBreaker is dislodged from the roof it can be remounted to the same spot after the tape is removed.
