All VentSaver models can now be mounted on most standing seam metal roof systems without penetrating the floating roof panels.

The Model 12-24 is recommended for panels 16” to 24” wide. The Model 12-24 SS Ventsaver kit can be used with the VentSaver EZ, HD, and the larger VentSaver Extreme with the included wing kit with the optional VentSaver HDC Extension Bracket. The SS Ventsaver features an Adjustable Aluminum Plate that has horizontal channels that allows for various seam spacing up to 24 inches wide.

This kit is simple to install with basic hand tools, made in the USA, and constructed of durable, non-corrosive components.

The SS Ventsaver Kit includes:

  • 12" X 27" SS VentSaver Adjustable Aluminum Plate

  • Custom-fit Ice Ramp with Edging Strip (Ramp may need to be notched out to fit certain applications)

  • 4 RCT clamps, 12 set screws, 4 top bolts/washers

  • 12 Tek screws.

  • VentSaver is not included but can be selected as an option.

The Standing Seam VentSaver Plate Kit is compatible with all three VentSaver models, including the VentSaver EZ, HD, and Extreme. To ensure correct installation, read the instructions for your specific VentSaver model before attaching it to the plate.

Suppose the RoofClamp RCT with this system is installed correctly and torqued to an appropriate setting. In that case, it will not penetrate your seams. The RoofClamp RCT comes with stainless steel set screws that have a cupped tip. These screws form a posi-lock attachment that secures the clamp firmly in place. Furthermore, our cupped tip set screws only require 90 in-lbs of torque—not foot-pounds—as opposed to up to 150 in-lbs for some competitors' screws.

Reattaching and retightening the RoofClamp RCT is simple thanks to its coarse threaded set screws made of stainless steel that resist seizing. The round-tipped or finely threaded bullet nose screws included in some rival clamps can bind in the clamps and render them unserviceable.

No. Corrosion is not a concern with this kit. The Standing Seam VentSaver Plate Kit's plate, ramp, and clamp bodies are all aluminum. The set screws, top bolts, and washers in each clamp are all stainless, and the tek screws feature a corrosion-resistant coating. We use the same high-quality materials to construct our three VentSaver models.

The included ramp can be easily field-cut to fit your roof panel configuration. A hack saw, chop saw, or grinder will make quick work of this task, allowing our customers to custom-fit the plate to their specific needs.

About VentSaver

In 2002, Rick Long revolutionized the industry with the patented VentSaver FB-151 and VentSaver P-383 stack and stove pipe snow guards. These products became essential as customers often misapplied snow guards in isolated areas that are prone to failure. VentSaver snow diverters effectively maintain vent stack pipes and chimneys on the roof. They have a fin and cable for support, so they divert snow and ice away from the pipes. In 2010, the VentSaver HD, designed for heavy snow regions, was released and gained rapid popularity. The SS VentSaver kit introduced non-penetrating attachment to standing seam metal roofs.
