27" SnoBar / ColorBar Sample Kit Description:

The SnoBar and ColorBar sample kits sold in 27" sections made specifically for 18" to 24" panels are great for submittal or demonstration purposes. The price includes 27" of Gatorshield® galvanized SnoBar or 27" of Aluminum ColorBar, depending on the option selected. Choose the method of attachment from the options menu above. This sample kit will include the type of bar selected along with the chosen attachment option and tek screws for attaching the bar to the mount. IceStoppers are not included but can be ordered separately. This kit allows a full mock-up of SnoBar or ColorBar bar systems on metal roofing panels from 18" to 24" wide. If working on 12" to 16" panels, please see the 20" Sample Kits specifically designed for narrower panels.

27" SnoBar / ColorBar Sample Kit Disclaimer:

The sample kits are NOT sold for use on roofs for any reason other than for demonstration purposes. The use of this sample kit for snow and ice retention could create an "isolated holding field" that extends further than the bar. When this happens the capacity of the bar and or attachment point could be exceeded, resulting in panel damage, property damage, bodily injury, and or possible death! SnoBar and ColorBar systems are not designed to be used in isolated areas on a roof.

27" SnoBar / ColorBar Sample Kit Warning:

This sample kit is NOT designed to hold the weight of a person and has not been tested for fall protection. This sample kit is NOT to be used as a tie-off point, roof steps, guardrails, or for any fall protection purpose.

About SnoBar-ColorBar

Don Drew and Dick Riddell invented SnoBar in 1992, making it the original standing seam-mounted snow rail. It was unique enough to earn a patent in 1993. Jim Huff installed the initial version, named Sno Horse, at the Denver International Airport in 1992. Jim Huff devised a way to make an aluminum bar with a channel to slide a piece of metal into the face plate based on a concept from name plates commonly found on office desks. The Sno Horse product later became known as the ColorBar, which features quick installation with a patented drop-in clamp to attach the bar. Roof clamps to attach the bar are available in stainless steel or aluminum. Standing seam metal roofs have utilized the SnoBar system longer than any other snow rail product. There is a SnoBar and ColorBar snow retention system for every sloped roof prone to snow slides. Both snow rails can be powder-coated to match your metal roof.
