Is there a risk of roof leaks when you install snow rails by securing them with screws into the roof?

Roof leaks can be avoided by properly installing a snow rail system. Be sure to use screws with neoprene washers and our foam gaskets. Some customers also outline the colorbracket bases with a bead of neutral curing and cold weather silicone, which is not required.

In 1992, Don Drew and Dick Riddell invented SnoBar, the original standing seam-mounted snow rail, earning a patent the following year. The first version, Sno Horse, was installed by Jim Huff at Denver International Airport in 1992.
