The Strongest Polycarbonate Snow Guard!

The IceJax II is a snow guard that features two external struts, enhancing its strength and allowing for its unique interchangeable sides to remain super strong when installed in either direction. Professional ATI test results show that the Icejax II held an astonishing 6,388 pounds when screw-mounted and a mind-blowing 1,561 pounds when adhesive-mounted using the Surebond SB-190. Independent laboratory testing simulates real snow-loading on the face of the guard, proving its durability in demanding conditions.

The Icejax II has a patented interchangeable design.

This patented design features unique interchangeable sides that either mechanically fasten or are adhesive-mounted. Install the flat side down on at least 5" of flat surface, or flip the unit over to straddle a minor rib on a 12" R-Panel (not recommended for 9" R-Panels). Screw starter points are provided on both sides for mechanical fastening with self-drilling screws. The IceJax II is a comparable snow guard to the SnoJax II, offering a more economical price point with stronger test results.

IceJax II Key Features:

  • Virtually Invisible when Installed

  • Professional Test Results

  • A flat, forward-facing design is stronger than other competing options.

  • Easy installation

IceJax II "The Strongest Snow Guards Money Can Buy!"

Icejax II Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

NO! No matter which system you choose, we never advise installing it in an isolated location, such as over HVAC systems, vent pipes, garage doors, or just above entryways. For optimal weight distribution, a snow rail or snow guard system must run the entire roof length, usually requiring multiple rows up the slope.

Each side of the IceJax 2 has two molded starter points close to the guard's face. This snow guard can attach to ridged panels and flat metal roofing designs. Pre-drilling is optional when utilizing self-tapping screws, such as our 2" Master Grippers or 1.5" Master Drillers, although it can be helpful.

On polycarbonate snow guards like the IceJax 2, the Surebond SB-190 adhesive must cure for approximately 28 days at 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Temporary temperatures below that threshold may pause the curing process and lengthen the time needed for a complete cure. Rain shouldn't stop the adhesive from curing after 45 minutes.

In contrast to many of our competitors, we manufacture our clear snow guards entirely from 100% virgin polycarbonate made in the United States. Polycarbonate plastic is thirty times stronger than acrylic and is exceptionally durable. The UV stabilization of our polycarbonate prevents the guards from becoming brittle.

Snow guards made of plastic are not all created equal. We use only virgin, UV-stabilized polycarbonate produced in the USA. Our polycarbonate snow guards rarely amber, though they may eventually lose some of their clarity.

We only advise using Surebond SB-190 as an adhesive when using our products. This glue is the industry standard for use with polycarbonate snow guards. Using Surebond SB-190 and our guards produces a strong, long-lasting bond between the snow guard and the metal roof panel.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
