Professional third-party Intertek/ATI tests demonstrate the SnoBlox Deuce holds 3456 pounds when attached with #14 screws and 1379 pounds when attached with the SB-190 adhesive.

    These were on my garage roof when we purchased our current home. They work perfect for holding back the snow here in Maine. We ordered the same product so we can finish the back of house and garage, no more shoveling piles of fallen snow.

The standard SnoBlox Deuce snow guard is clear in color and does not cast a shadow, making it less noticeable than a colored guard. However, we do have several molded colors available.

Regardless of your chosen system, we never advise installation in isolated areas such as above entryways or HVAC units. A system must span the entire roof length for adequate weight distribution and often requires several rows going up the slope. In climates with lower snow loads, sometimes the SnowBreaker can be used following the isolated place guidelines for that guard.

The Deuce comes with two molded starter points near the face of the guard. When using self-tapping screws, like our Master Grippers or Master Drillers, pre-drilling may be helpful but is not required.

Unlike many of our competitors, who produce their products with cheap plastics, sometimes from overseas, we make our clear snow guards from 100% virgin polycarbonate produced in the USA. Polycarbonate plastic is tough, durable, lightweight, and thirty times stronger than acrylic. Its UV Stabilization prevents the guards from becoming brittle.

Plastic snow guards are not all created equal. We use only virgin, UV-stabilized polycarbonate produced in the USA. Over time, our polycarbonate snow guards may become less clear, but they very seldom amber.
