SnoBlox Deuce Copper Snow Guards Key Features

  • Made in America

  • A flat, forward-facing design is proven to cause less roof stress, failures, and leaks than other competing options.

  • Each snow guard holds 3,456 pounds when attached with screws and 1,379 pounds with SB-190 adhesive.

  • Our best-selling snow guard

The SnoBlox Deuce is our most popular snow guard thanks to its universal fit and ease of installation.

This patented product has stood the test of time as an aesthetically appealing, low-cost solution to the problem of sliding snow and ice on metal roofing.

The SnoBlox Difference

SnoBlox Deuce Copper Snow Guards are Strong

The SnoBlox Deuce revolutionized the patented polycarbonate snow guard industry with its low profile forward-mounted 2.5" high face and its sleek 1.5" wide waffled tapered back. The flat, forward face holds snow and ice in place without harming the integrity of your roof. The waffle base provides nearly triple the strength of smooth bottom guards of the same size.

Professional third-party Intertek/ATI tests demonstrate the SnoBlox Deuce holds 3456 pounds when attached with #14 screws and 1379 pounds when attached with the SB-190 adhesive.

SnoBlox Deuce Copper Snow Guards Are Versatile

The versatility of this product makes it perfect for professional roofers and DIY homeowners alike. The mounting versatility of this product allows it to be mechanically attached to screw-down roofs with a 1.5" flat area or adhesive mounted on floating standing seam roof systems. They will fit most popular 36" R-panels with 12" rib spacing or 9" rib spacing without rib straddling.

SnoBlox Deuce Copper Snow Guards Are Popular

This American-made product is one of our best-selling snow guards. The proven track record of the Copper SnoBlox Deuce has made it a household name with residential and commercial roofers.

SnoBlox Deuce Copper Snow Guards Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We never advise installing a snow retention system—regardless of the kind—in isolated locations such as those directly above entryways, garage doors, HVAC systems, or vent pipes. For the best weight distribution, a snow rail or snow guard system must extend the entire length of the roof, which sometimes also requires several rows up the slope. Check out our page on spacing guidelines for further information.

The Deuce has two molded starting locations near the guard's face. When utilizing self-tapping screws, such as our Master Drillers or Grippers, pre-drilling is not required, though it can be helpful.

One tube of Surebond SB-190 glue can install approximately twenty to twenty-five of our Deuce. Please note that this may vary based on the user's application. In general, it's a good idea to order an additional tube.

In contrast to some of our competitors, who source low-quality plastics from abroad, we manufacture our polycarbonate snow guards entirely from virgin polycarbonate produced in the United States. Polycarbonate plastic is thirty times stronger and more lightweight, resilient, and durable than acrylic. Our polycarbonate's UV stability keeps the guards from breaking easily.

Not every plastic snow guard has the same quality level. We only use virgin, American-made UV-stabilized polycarbonate. While UV stabilization will help prevent fading, our polycarbonate snow guards may eventually lose some shine.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
