SnoBlox Deuce Dark Gray Snow Guards Key Features

  • Made in America

  • A flat, forward-facing design is proven to cause less roof stress, failures, and leaks than other competing options.

  • Each snow guard holds 3,456 pounds when attached with screws and 1,379 pounds with SB-190 adhesive.

  • Our best-selling snow guard

The SnoBlox Deuce is our most popular snow guard thanks to its universal fit and ease of installation.

This patented product has stood the test of time as an aesthetically appealing, low-cost solution to the problem of sliding snow and ice on metal roofing.

The SnoBlox Difference

SnoBlox Deuce Dark Gray Snow Guards are Strong

The SnoBlox Deuce revolutionized the patented polycarbonate snow guard industry with its low profile forward-mounted 2.5" high face and its sleek 1.5" wide waffled tapered back. The flat, forward face holds snow and ice in place without harming the integrity of your roof. The waffle base provides nearly triple the strength of smooth bottom guards of the same size.

Professional third-party Intertek/ATI tests demonstrate the SnoBlox Deuce holds 3456 pounds when attached with #14 screws and 1379 pounds when attached with the SB-190 adhesive.

SnoBlox Deuce Dark Gray Snow Guards Are Versatile

The versatility of this product makes it perfect for professional roofers and DIY homeowners alike. The mounting versatility of this product allows it to be mechanically attached to screw-down roofs with a 1.5" flat area or adhesive mounted on floating standing seam roof systems. They will fit most popular 36" R-panels with 12" rib spacing or 9" rib spacing without rib straddling.

SnoBlox Deuce Dark Gray Snow Guards Are Popular

This American-made product is one of our best-selling snow guards. The proven track record of the Dark Gray SnoBlox Deuce has made it a household name with residential and commercial roofers.

SnoBlox Deuce Dark Gray Snow Guards Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We use only 100% virgin polycarbonate in the USA to make our colored snow guards. This material is thirty times more durable, lighter, and stronger than acrylic. Our polycarbonate is UV-stabilized to prevent fading, deteriorating, or weakening the guards. Manufacturers produce windshields for commercial aircraft from the same reliable material.

Instead of concentrating the weight of the snow and ice in one place, a well-planned layout should disperse it throughout the whole surface of the roof. To help eliminate uncertainty in your project, we have online spacing guidelines for all our snow guard products. We recommend using the SnoBar Quote Request Form for projects in areas where ground snow loads exceed 45 PSF.

We never recommend installing any system—no matter what kind you select—above entryways, HVAC units, chimneys, or vent pipes. A system needs to extend the entire roof length. It frequently involves multiple rows going up the slope to distribute weight adequately.

At this time, we are unable to provide specially matched screws for our snow guards. It would be impossible to keep screws in stock to accommodate the thousands of roofing shades available on the market from hundreds of manufacturers. Standard silver finish is available for our 1.5" Master Driller (for use with metal structures) and 2" Master Grippers (for use with wooden structures).

Two molded starter points are located close to the guard's face on the Deuce. Pre-drilling is not necessary when using self-tapping screws, such as our Master Drillers or Grippers, but it may be helpful.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
