SnoBlox Deuce Green Snow Guards Key Features

  • Made in America

  • A flat, forward-facing design is proven to cause less roof stress, failures, and leaks than other competing options.

  • Each snow guard holds 3,456 pounds when attached with screws and 1,379 pounds with SB-190 adhesive.

  • Our best-selling snow guard

The SnoBlox Deuce Snow Guards are our most popular items thanks to its universal fit and ease of installation.

This patented product has stood the test of time as an aesthetically appealing, low-cost solution to the problem of sliding snow and ice on metal roofing.

The SnoBlox Difference

The SnoBlox Deuce Green Snow Guards are Strong

The SnoBlox Deuce revolutionized the patented polycarbonate snow guard industry with its low profile forward-mounted 2.5" high face and its sleek 1.5" wide waffled tapered back. The flat, forward face holds snow and ice in place without harming the integrity of your roof. The waffle base provides nearly triple the strength of smooth bottom guards of the same size.

The SnoBlox Deuce Green Snow Guards Test Results

Professional third-party Intertek/ATI tests demonstrate the SnoBlox Deuce holds 3456 pounds when attached with #14 screws and 1379 pounds when attached with the SB-190 adhesive.

The SnoBlox Deuce Green Snow Guards are Versatile

The versatility of this product makes it perfect for professional roofers and DIY homeowners alike. The mounting versatility of this product allows it to be mechanically attached to screw-down roofs with a 1.5" flat area or adhesive mounted on floating standing seam roof systems. They will fit most popular 36" R-panels with 12" rib spacing or 9" rib spacing without rib straddling.

The SnoBlox Deuce Green Snow Guards are Popular

This American-made product is one of our best-selling snow guards. The proven track record of the SnoBlox Deuce has made it a household name among residential and commercial roofers. Hunter green is our most popular color!

SnoBlox Deuce Snow Guards

SnoBlox Deuce Green Snow Guards Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Regardless of the type of snow retention system you choose, we never recommend installation in isolated areas like just over HVAC systems, vent pipes, garage doors, or directly above entryways. For the best weight distribution, a snow rail or snow guard system needs to run the entire length of the roof, which frequently calls for several rows up the slope. For more details, visit our page on spacing guidelines.

You can attach twenty to twenty-five of our Deuce with a single tube of Surebond SB-190 adhesive. However, depending on the user's application, this could change. Generally speaking, ordering an extra tube is a good idea.

For polycarbonate snow guards such as the Deuce, the Surebond SB-190 adhesive requires approximately 28 days at 50 degrees Fahrenheit to cure fully. A brief decrease in temperature below that threshold may increase the time necessary for a complete cure. After 45 minutes, rain shouldn't prevent the adhesive from drying.

Snow guards will often vary in quality between manufacturers. We only use virgin, American-made UV-stabilized polycarbonate. While UV stabilization will help prevent fading, our polycarbonate snow guards may eventually lose some shine.

The Deuce requires a 1.5" flat mounting area. If the panel has any striations that are at least 1.5" wide in flat mounting areas, this snow guard can be attached to most standing seam panels using Surebond SB-190 adhesive. Glue or screws are compatible for installation on mechanically fastened roofs, such as Ag Panels or 12" r-panel roofing.

Two molded starter points are located close to the guard's face on the Deuce. Pre-drilling is not necessary when using self-tapping screws, such as our Master Drillers or Grippers, but it may be helpful.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
