  • Made in America

  • A flat, forward-facing design is proven to cause less roof stress, failures, and leaks than other competing options.

  • Each snow guard holds 3,456 pounds when attached with screws and 1,379 pounds with SB-190 adhesive.

  • Our best-selling snow guard

The SnoBlox Deuce is our most popular item thanks to its universal fit and ease of installation.

This patented product has stood the test of time as an aesthetically appealing, low-cost solution to the problem of sliding snow and ice on metal roofing.

The SnoBlox Difference

The SnoBlox Deuce Sandstone Snow Guard is Strong

The SnoBlox Deuce revolutionized the patented polycarbonate snow guard industry with its low profile forward mounted 2.5" high face and its sleek 1.5" wide waffled tapered back. The flat, forward face holds snow and ice in place without harming the integrity of your roof. The waffle base provides nearly triple the strength of smooth bottom guards of the same size.

Professional third-party Intertek/ATI tests demonstrate the SnoBlox Deuce holds 3456 pounds when attached with #14 screws and 1379 pounds when attached with the SB-190 adhesive.

The SnoBlox Deuce Sandstone Snow Guard is Versatile

The versatility of this product makes it perfect for professional roofers and DIY homeowners alike. They will fit the most popular 36" R-panels with 12" rib spacing or 9" rib spacing without rib straddling.

SnoBlox Deuce Sandstone Snow Guard Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We never recommend installing any system—no matter what you select—above just entryways, HVAC units, chimneys, or vent pipes. A system needs to extend the entire length of the roof. It frequently involves multiple rows going up the slope to distribute weight adequately. You must use SnowBreaker's isolated placement guidelines when installing isolated layouts in regions with less snowfall.

Unlike many competitors, we manufacture our snow guards from 100% virgin polycarbonate made in the United States. Polycarbonate plastic is rigid, durable, and thirty times stronger than acrylic. The UV stabilization of our polycarbonate helps prevent the guards from becoming brittle.

The Deuce has two molded starter points located near the guard's face. When using self-tapping screws, such as our Master Drillers or Grippers, pre-drilling is not required, but it may be helpful.

Installing polycarbonate snowguards can be quick and straightforward, depending on your experience level. Do-it-yourselfers primarily make up our customer base. Installation instructions are included with your order and are available on our website. Working safely on a metal roof with a sloped surface is the most hazardous aspect of installing snow guards. Before installing and climbing onto your roof, please use appropriate fall protection, such as the RidgePro. If you choose to hire a professional, any certified general or roofing contractor should be able to install these guards for you.

No. We never recommend mixing and matching snow retention systems. They often have different strength ratings, complicating a system's layout.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
