The Easiest Way to Install Screw-Down Snow Guards!

Ecojax PSS clear 3M VHB (Peel, Stick, and Screw) Snow Guards offer the quickest and simplest way to attach pad-style snow retention to a metal roof using screws! To install, start by cleaning the metal panel with an alcohol wipe. Next, peel off the red backing from the attached double-sided clear 3M VHB tape and uniformly press the snow guard onto the panel for 10 seconds. After that, drive the roofing screws through the pre-molded indents on the snow guard into the purlin or structural support beneath. It's as easy as that! The pre-attached clear 3M VHB double-sided tape not only holds the guard securely in place during installation, but it also protects against water intrusion underneath. Additionally, the molded indents in the guard help prevent the screws from sliding across the base during installation. The final product has a clean appearance, with no sloppy sealants or gaskets visible from the sides of the guard.

No Messy Sealants, No Holding The Guard When Installing Screws.

Say goodbye to messy sealants and the hassle of holding onto the guard while fastening—experience a cleaner, more convenient snow guard installation solution today! For many years, the only way to weather-seal a polycarbonate screw-down snow guard was to use silicone applied to the base of the guard and run the fasteners with a screw gun while holding onto the snow stop. This installation method is not always do-it-yourself-friendly. Other companies have attempted to eliminate the use of liquid sealants by designing sealing pads that match the style of the guard. While this eliminated the need to use a liquid sealant, the guard still needed to be kept from twisting while applying the roofing screws. Gripping a snow guard while trying to run screws through it can be challenging for any DIY snow guard installer. The clear 3M pad features a very high bonding adhesive that securely holds the guard in place while screwing through it, allowing for practically hands-free installation.

Ecojax PSS Product Versatility

This product's mounting versatility allows it to be mechanically attached to screw-down roofs with a 1.5" flat area. It will fit most popular 36" R-panels with 12" rib spacing or 9" rib spacing without rib straddling.

The Ecojax PSS (Peel, Stick, and Screw) Key Features:

  • Fast Installation! Clear 3M VHB tape holds the guard in place during mechanical fastening.

  • 3M VHB Tape provides a weather-tight seal under the guard.

  • Designed to be mounted across the purlins rather than along the rafters.

  • A 3-inch-wide, flat, forward face keeps snow in place.

  • Low-price, high-performance, universal-fit polycarbonate snow guard.

  • Warranted against breakage when attached according to our spacing recommendations.

The Ecojax Difference

Based on the patented SnoBlox Deuce design that revolutionized the polycarbonate snow guard industry!

Special Considerations When Using The Ecojax PSS

The Ecojax PSS, which features 3M peel-and-stick tape, is designed exclusively for screw-down snow guard applications. To ensure proper sealing under the guard, install the Ecojax PSS on a completely flat section of a metal roof panel. Relying solely on the 3M tape to permanently secure the Ecojax snow guard to a metal roof may lead to premature release of the snow guard, possibly resulting in injury or even death.

Ecojax Spacing Recommendation

Please refer to the spacing guideline page for proper snow guard placement. Never isolate sections of snow guards on a roof.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
