20-Piece Icejax II Adhesive-Mounted Snow Guard Bundle

The Icejax II is now available in a 20-piece bundle, which includes two tubes of SB-190 adhesive. This bundle also includes bonus cleaning wipes, specifically designed to wash the panel area where the snow guards are to be mounted.

The professional ATI test results reveal that the Icejax II exhibited remarkable strength, sustaining an astonishing load of 1561 pounds when adhesive-mounted using the Surebond SB-190.

Thorough laboratory testing replicated the challenging snow-loading conditions that a glue-down snow guard will face, showcasing its remarkable durability and reliability, even in the toughest winter weather.

The Icejax II features an interchangeable base and face.

This patented design features an interchangeable base that can be installed with either the flat side down or the rib side down, allowing it to straddle a minor rib in the metal roofing panel. When installing with the flat side down, make sure the panel has at least 5" of flat surface. If the metal panel has raised ridges, flip the unit over to straddle the minor rib. Rib-straddling for the Icejax II is mostly compatible with a 12" R-Panel, usually not with 9" R-Panels. If straddling a minor rib, fill the gap with adhesive.

What is the SB-190 Snow Guard Adhesive Curing Time?

The SB-190 adhesive requires a curing time of 28 days at a temperature of 50°F or higher. If the temperature dips lower than 50°F, the adhesive will go dormant until the temperature rises again.

Lower temperatures will not damage the adhesive, but it will prolong the curing time. The adhesive acts like concrete, gaining much of its strength in about 14 days. The 14-day high-strength cure requires consecutive days with temperatures at or above 50°F.
