Designed to Break Apart Snow and Ice

SnowBreaker snow guards prevent dangerous rooftop avalanches by breaking snow and ice into smaller, safer pieces. This method of controlling sudden snow and ice slides provides faster roof shedding than traditional snow retention systems while still protecting people and property below.

SnowBreaker Snow Guards Installed on Metal Roof

Reversible Snow Guard Base Design Provides Several Mounting Options

The SnowBreaker features a reversible base with two distinct mounting options. When installed with the point facing uphill, it effectively breaks sliding snow and ice. If the face is reversed with the pointed end facing downhill, it serves as a snow retention system that holds snow in place. The SnowBreaker's reversible base allows two mounting orientations. Installed with the point facing uphill, it breaks sliding snow and ice. Reversed with the point downhill, it acts as a snow retention system to hold snow in place. This adaptability provides exceptional versatility for any roof condition.

Protection, Performance, and Peace of Mind

SnowBreaker snow guards minimize roof and property damage by reducing the impact of sliding snow and ice. As snow breaks apart, it falls safely away from gutters, walkways, and vehicles, reducing the risk of damage and injury. An affordable, effective choice for both residential and commercial metal roofs.

Ideal for Isolated Areas and Doorways

While snow guards typically work best across full roof sections, the SnowBreaker is one of the few models that can be angled at 45° outward to protect isolated roof areas or doorways. This offers a cost-efficient solution compared to full-roof systems. See the Isolated Placement Guide for placement recommendations.

Adhesive Curing Time & Temperature Requirements

The SureBond SB-190 adhesive requires 28 days to cure. Temperatures below 50°F (10°C) will extend cure time but will not damage the bond. For best results, maintain temperatures above 50°F during the curing period.

Canada-Only Fulfillment: Ships from within Canada; Free Nationwide Delivery. No Duties or Border Delays.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
