  • Our best-selling snow guard

The SnoBlox Deuce Snow Guards are our most popular items thanks to their universal fit and ease of installation.

This patented product has stood the test of time as an aesthetically appealing, low-cost solution to the problem of sliding snow and ice on metal roofing.

The SnoBlox Difference

The SnoBlox Deuce Light Gray Snow Guards Are Strong

The SnoBlox Deuce revolutionized the patented polycarbonate snow guard industry with its low profile forward mounted 2.5" high face, and its sleek 1.5" wide waffled tapered back. The flat, forward-face holds snow and ice in place without harming the integrity of your roof. The waffle base provides nearly triple the strength of smooth bottom guards of the same size.

The SnoBlox Deuce Light Gray Snow Guards Test Results

Professional third-party Intertek/ATI tests demonstrate the SnoBlox Deuce holds 3456 pounds when attached with #14 screws and 1379 pounds when attached with the SB-190 adhesive.

The versatility of this product makes it perfect for professional roofers and DIY homeowners alike. The mounting versatility of this product allows it to be mechanically attached to screw-down roofs with a 1.5" flat area or adhesive mounted on floating standing seam roof systems. They will fit the most popular 36" R-panels with 12" rib spacing or 9" rib spacing without rib straddling.

The SnoBlox Deuce Light Gray Snow Guards are Popular

SnoBlox Deuce Light Gray Snow Guards Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Our snow guards stand out from the rest. We exclusively use UV-stabilized virgin polycarbonate, a high-quality material manufactured in the United States. This UV stabilization ensures that our polycarbonate snow guards maintain their color for a long time. However, they may lose some shine over the years.

One tube of Surebond SB-190 glue can install about 20 to 25 of our Deuces. However, depending on the user's application, this could change. Generally speaking, it makes sense to order one more tube than needed.

We never recommend combining different systems; it is never a good idea. Regardless of whether you're merging guards from the same manufacturer, comparable guards from other companies, or entirely different system types. Designers evaluate load ratings and purposes when designing snow rail systems and guards. Because of this, it is almost impossible to build a snow retention system, from multiple products, that functions well, regardless of the type. It is incredibly challenging when integrating devices from various companies, as they seldom exchange this data or agree on the best practices for spacing.

The ease and speed of installing polycarbonate snowguards will depend on your skill level. Knowledgeable, do-it-yourself homeowners make up a sizable portion of our clientele. Your order comes with installation instructions, also available on our website. The most hazardous part of installing snow guards is handling safety on a steep metal roof. Before installing and getting on your roof, please use the proper fall protection, such as the RidgePro. If you decide to hire a professional, any certified roofing or general contractor should be able to install these guards for you.

Unlike some of our rivals, who import their inferior polymers from overseas, we only use virgin polycarbonate made in the United States to make our polycarbonate snow guards. Polycarbonate plastic is more lightweight, resilient, durable, and thirty times stronger than acrylic. Its UV stability prevents the guards from breaking easily.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
