  • Made in America

  • A flat, forward-facing design is proven to cause less roof stress, failures, and leaks than other competing options.

  • Each snow guard holds 3,456 pounds when attached with screws and 1,379 pounds with SB-190 adhesive.

  • Our best-selling snow guard

The SnoBlox Deuce is our most popular snow guard thanks to its universal fit and ease of installation.

This patented product has stood the test of time as an aesthetically appealing, low-cost solution to the problem of sliding snow and ice on metal roofing.

The SnoBlox Difference

SnoBlox Deuce Medium Bronze Snow Guards are Strong

The SnoBlox Deuce revolutionized the patented polycarbonate snow guard industry with its low profile forward-mounted 2.5" high face and its sleek 1.5" wide waffled tapered back. The flat, forward face holds snow and ice in place without harming the integrity of your roof. The waffle base provides nearly triple the strength of smooth bottom guards of the same size.

Professional third-party Intertek/ATI tests demonstrate the SnoBlox Deuce holds 3456 pounds when attached with #14 screws and 1379 pounds when attached with the SB-190 adhesive.

SnoBlox Deuce Medium Bronze Snow Guards Are Versatile

The versatility of this product makes it perfect for professional roofers and DIY homeowners alike. The mounting versatility of this product allows it to be mechanically attached to screw-down roofs with a 1.5" flat area or adhesive mounted on floating standing seam roof systems. They will fit most popular 36" R-panels with 12" rib spacing or 9" rib spacing without rib straddling.

SnoBlox Deuce Medium Bronze Snow Guards Are Popular

This American-made product is one of our best-selling snow guards. The proven track record of the Medium Bronze SnoBlox Deuce has made it a household name with residential and commercial roofers.

SnoBlox Deuce Medium Bronze Snow Guards Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Two molded starter points are located close to the guard's face on the Deuce. Pre-drilling is not necessary when utilizing self-tapping screws, such as our Master Drillers or Grippers, but it may be helpful.

In contrast to some of our competitors that source low-quality plastics from abroad, we manufacture our plastic snow guards entirely from virgin polycarbonate produced in the United States. Polycarbonate plastic is thirty times stronger, more lightweight, more resilient, and more durable than acrylic. Our polycarbonate's UV stability prevents the guards from breaking easily.

We never advise installation in isolated areas, such as over HVAC systems, vent pipes, garage doors, or directly above entryways, no matter what snow retention system you choose. For the best weight distribution, a snow rail or snow guard system must run the whole length of the roof, often requiring multiple rows up the slope. Check out our Spacing Guidelines Page for more information.

The SnoBlox Deuce requires a 1.5" flat mounting area. This snow guard can be installed with Surebond SB-190 adhesive to most standing seam panels as long as any striations feature flat mounting regions of 1.5" or wider. Mechanically fastened roofs like Ag Panels or 12" r-panel roofing can accept installation with glue or screws.

A Surebond SB-190 adhesive tube attaches approximately 20-25 of our Deuce products. Please note that this may differ based on the user's application. It is typically a good idea to order an extra tube.

The Surebond SB-190 adhesive takes about 28 days at 50 degrees Fahrenheit to completely cure on polycarbonate snow guards like the Deuce. A temporary drop in temperature below that point could impede the curing process and lengthen the time needed for a complete cure. Rain shouldn't stop the adhesive from drying after 45 minutes.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
