The SnoBlox Deuce Snow Guard is our most popular item thanks to its universal fit and ease of installation.

This patented product has stood the test of time as an aesthetically appealing, low-cost solution to the problem of sliding snow and ice on metal roofing.

The SnoBlox Difference

The SnoBlox Deuce White Snow Guard is Strong

The SnoBlox Deuce revolutionized the patented polycarbonate snow guard industry with its low profile forward mounted 2.5" high face, and its sleek 1.5" wide waffled tapered back. The flat, forward-face holds snow and ice in place without harming the integrity of your roof. The waffle base provides nearly triple the strength of smooth bottom guards of the same size.

SnoBlox Deuce White Snow Guard Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We never advise installing a snow retention system—regardless of the kind—in isolated areas such as directly above entryways, garage doors, HVAC systems, or vent pipes. For optimum weight distribution, a snow rail or snow guard system must extend the entire length of the roof, which sometimes requires several rows up the slope. Check out our page on spacing guidelines for further information.

On the Deuce, there are two molded starter points near the guard's face. When using self-tapping screws, such as our Master Drillers or Grippers, pre-drilling is not required, though it can be helpful.

A well-planned layout should distribute the weight of the snow and ice over the entire roof surface rather than concentrate it in one area. For each of our snow guard products, we offer online spacing guidelines to alleviate any confusion from your project. For projects in regions where ground snow loads are greater than 45 PSF, we advise utilizing the SnoBar Quote Request Form to obtain a quote for a snow rail system.

It takes about 28 days at 50 degrees Fahrenheit for the Surebond SB-190 adhesive to completely cure on polycarbonate snow guards like the Deuce. A quick drop in temperature below that point could lengthen the time needed for a full recovery. Rain shouldn't stop the adhesive from drying after 45 minutes.

Polycarbonate snow guards should last as long as the roof and may outlive it. An adequate layout and installation are crucial for guaranteeing the functionality and durability of our products. See our Spacing Guidelines Page for layout recommendations for your project. This process requires less guesswork when descriptions and visuals are clear and straightforward.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
