SnoCleat 2.67 Kit Contents

The SnoCleat 2.67 is a screw-down pad-style snow guard specially designed for mechanically fastened 2.67 corrugated metal roofs.

The 6 holes are precisely pre-drilled on 2.67-inch centers so the guard can be screwed through the high round portion of the panel rib. This device is mounted utilizing a minimum of four #14 roofing screws with neoprene washers. Additional fasteners may be used in the remaining holes if extra holding strength is desired. A foam gasket is supplied for installation between the guard and the panel, eliminating the need for glue or liquid sealant. The SnoCleat 2.67 features a large 4-inch-wide face fastened with two tek-screws. The face of the guard is specifically designed to accept an optional 4-inch-wide by 2-inch-tall color strip to match your roof.

The SnoCleat 2.67 is for screw-down applications only, and adhesive mounting of this guard is not recommended. Snow Guards used in just isolated roof areas such as chimneys, doorways, vents, and partial roof sections are not recommended. Mounting screws are sold separately. Always review the spacing guidelines before purchasing.

SnoCleat 2.67 Optional Color Matching

The face of this guard can be equipped with a user-supplied piece of metal roofing 2" wide. Powder coating can also be provided at an additional fee. For pricing and availability, please call us at 1-800-766-5291.

SnoCleat 2.67 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We provide a die-cut foam gasket with our metal SnowCatchersSnoCleat PBR, and SnoCleat 2.67 instead of liquid sealant. Sometimes, after installing these bases, our customers go around them with a bead of sealant for extra security. It is not necessary to complete this step.

The correct installation of a snow guard system should prevent roof leaks. Use screws with neoprene washers and pair them with foam gaskets for metal snow guards.

3" long #14 screws with neoprene washers are the recommended screws for the SnoCleat 2.67. The self-tapping coarse threads on our 3" long Master Grippers are ideal for use with wood decking and purlins.

A 2" wide strip of flat stock metal roofing material can be placed into the channels on the front face of the guard when utilizing the SnoCleat 2.67. You can use leftover roofing material to make these. Still, custom powder coating is also an option for an extra fee. You will typically need to provide a physical color sample for accurate color matching. Powder-coated snow guards often take three to four weeks to produce and are not kept in stock. Clients can choose to have them locally coated or painted as soon as they arrive.
The SnoCleat 2.67 has two rows of three pre-drilled holes, totaling six. Installation only requires 4 of these holes, but you can use six fasteners for an even more robust attachment. The SnoCleat 2.67 spans two of the panel's high ribs or waves, so these holes line up precisely and simplify installation.

NO! Never use snow guards or snow rail systems as steps or tie-off points for fall protection. The RidgePro is a fast and dependable fall protection alternative that we recommend.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
