The SnoCleat PBR Aluminum Screw-Down Snow Guards in 10-Piece Bundles

This aluminum screw-down snow guard bundle contains all the necessary components to ensure reliable performance on screw-down metal roofing panels with minor ribs spaced 1 1/2 inches or more apart. As a bonus, the 10-piece SnoCleat PBR bundle includes panel wipes to prepare and clean the metal roof surface before installing the snow guard. Choose the length and type of screw at checkout, and you will receive everything necessary for a professional installation.

Built for a precise fit, the SnoCleat PBR provides reliable snow retention on Exposed Fastener PBR, AG, and R-Panels.

The six predrilled holes make it easy to fasten the snow stops to the purlin through the panel. The included sealing pad provides a weather-tight seam between the roof panel and the snow stop. To securely mount the SnoCleat PBR, use at least three #14 roofing screws equipped with neoprene washers to ensure a watertight seal and prevent moisture intrusion. For optimal stability and enhanced holding strength, it is possible to install additional fasteners in the remaining holes, thereby distributing the load more evenly and reinforcing the overall attachment. This technique will not only enhance durability but also prolong the lifespan of the snow guards, particularly in harsh winter environments. Tighten all metal roofing screws with neoprene washers uniformly to 50 percent compression of the rubber washer to achieve maximum effectiveness.

The SnoCleat features a Wide 4-inch face that accepts a 2-inch Tall ColorStrip.

The SnoCleat PBR is the only aircraft-grade aluminum snow guard that can be securely fastened to your roof and can instantly blend in by adding a ColorStrip to its face. Customers generally acquire ColorStrips directly from the panel manufacturer or skillfully cut 2-inch by 4-inch pieces from leftover panel scraps, thereby maximizing the efficiency of the metal roofing material. Furthermore, for those seeking a seamless look, the SnoCleat PBR can also be powder-coated to match the color of the metal roof panels for an additional charge. The powder-coating option enhances the aesthetic appeal of the snow guard, ensuring a cohesive and polished final appearance.

SnoCleat PBR: Important Considerations to Note

When using the SnoCleat PBR, it is important to use it exclusively for screw-down applications. Do not attempt to install this guard with adhesive. Additionally, avoid just placing snow guards in isolated areas of the roof, such as around chimneys, doorways, vents, or on partial roof sections. Be sure to review the spacing guidelines before making your purchase.

About SnoBlox-Snojax

In the late 1970s, we embarked on a quest for an improved snow guard solution that would be non-corrosive and nearly invisible to preserve the building's aesthetic appeal. After extensive testing, we obtained a patent for Snojax®, the world's first screw-down, clear, non-corrosive, polycarbonate snow guard. In 1985, we innovated further with the release of Snojax II, the world's first glue-down polycarbonate snow guard. By 2000, we introduced two patented SnoBlox® models, "Ace" and "Deuce," offering an economical alternative and resolving the challenge of straddling minor ribs. These models boasted the industry's first patented waffled base design, enhancing adhesive bonding. In 2005, we expanded our offerings with Icejax I and Icejax II, which were validated through rigorous testing by the renowned ATI professional testing laboratory. Our Snojax®, SnoBlox®, Icejax™, and SnowCatcher™ brands are the epitome of robust snow guards in the industry, validated by comprehensive testing.
