Snow Guards for Extreme Metal Fabricators

Snow guards for Extreme Metal Fabricators roofing panels help control the sudden release of snow and ice from rooftops above sidewalks, entrances, loading areas, parking spaces, landscaping, equipment, and other locations where sliding snow can cause damage or safety concerns. The proper SnoBlox-Snojax product depends on whether the Extreme Metal Fabricators roof uses a standing-seam concealed-fastener system or an exposed-fastener panel, and then on the exact panel profile on the building.

Compatible Extreme Metal Fabricators snow retention options may include adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards, screw-fastened guards, SnowCatcher products, PBR-style rail systems, non-penetrating clamp-on rail assemblies, RCB-3 rail systems, 2-bar rail systems, and clamp-on SnoCleat products, depending on the panel geometry.
  • Extreme Metal Fabricators standing-seam and exposed-fastener panels require different snow-retention attachment methods.
  • Standing seam panels should use compatible clamp-on systems or adhesive-mounted guards, not screw-down attachments.
  • Exposed-fastener panels may accept glue-down, screw-down, SnowCatcher, PBR rail, or SnoCleat PBR systems, depending on panel shape and available mounting area.
  • Confirm copper compatibility and confirm product compatibility for curved roofs.
  • Final product selection should account for roof slope, panel width, snow load, run length, roof material, panel striations, and full-roof layout requirements.
Important: Do not choose snow guards based only on appearance. A guard or rail system that works on one Extreme Metal Fabricators profile may not work on another. Clamp-on systems are intended only for compatible standing-seam profiles. In contrast, exposed-fastener panels may require adhesive bonding, mechanical fastening, PBR brackets, or other panel-specific mounting methods. An incorrect selection can reduce holding strength, increase leak risk, or cause premature system failure.

About Extreme Metal Fabricators Roofing Systems

Extreme Metal Fabricators produces standing seam and exposed fastener panels. Seam shape, roof material, mounting area, and curvature determine snow retention compatibility.

Snow Retention Solutions for Extreme Metal Fabricators Roofing

Extreme Metal Fabricators standing seam panels and exposed fastener panels use different snow retention attachment methods. Standing seam roofs typically require non-penetrating clamp-on systems when the seam geometry allows it, or adhesive-mounted guards when the panel pan provides a suitable bonding surface. Exposed-fastener panels may accept screw-down products when attached through the low flats and into adequate structure.

See our full range of snow guards for metal roofs and use the charts below to confirm which SnoBlox-Snojax products fit each Extreme Metal Fabricators panel. “YES” indicates the product is shown as a fit for that panel. “NO” means it is not shown as compatible for that profile.

Snow Guards for Extreme Metal Fabricators Standing Seam Roof Panels

The standing seam lineup includes CopperMax, CurveMax, PeakMax, PlusMax, QuikMax, SnapMax, SupremeMax, TopMax, and UltraMax. Use the charts to compare adhesive and clamp-on options for each profile.

Standing seam warning: Do not install screw-down snow guards through concealed-fastener standing-seam roof panels. Use compatible clamp-on products where the seam accepts them, or adhesive-mounted guards where a flat bonding surface is available.

PlusMax, QuikMax, SnapMax, SupremeMax, TopMax, and UltraMax accept the listed adhesive guards and compatible clamp-on products. Ecojax is a polycarbonate option where the chart shows a fit.

Striated panels may require a heavier adhesive application to fill small gaps and reduce moisture paths beneath the guard. If using a rail system, IceStopper attachments are recommended above pedestrian or parking areas to help manage snow and ice beneath the rail.

* Conditions: Copper installations require compatible corrosion protection. CurveMax accepts the listed compatible clamp-on rails and SnoCleat guards. Do not use adhesive-mounted pad guards on CurveMax. Aluminum and copper roofs may require additional rail rows. Test-fit clamps before ordering.

** PeakMax: Adhesive guards fit suitable flat, non-copper applications only.

Snow Guards for Extreme Metal Fabricators Exposed Fastener Roof Panels

CORMAX, EMAX, PBRMAX, and VMAX have different rib geometries. Use the chart to confirm each product before selecting adhesive or screw-down attachments.

Exposed fastener reminder: When screw-down snow guards or rails are compatible, attach them through the low flats of the panel and into adequate structure. Do not install individual snow guards or rail systems directly on the panel's high ribs.

EMAX accepts IceJax I, Ecojax, SnoBlox Deuce, SnowBreaker, SnoJax I, SnowCatcher, SnoCleat PBR, and PBR rails. IceJax II, SnoBlox Ace, and SnoJax II do not fit EMAX. PBRMAX and VMAX accept the listed pad guards and PBR rail systems.

CORMAX has no compatible options listed. SnoCleat 2.67, SnoBar 2.67, and ColorBar 2.67 do not fit any of these four profiles. EMAX and VMAX rail systems require Tall ColorBrackets. SnoJax I requires screws.

For screw-down installations, fasteners must engage suitable structure beneath the roof panel. For adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards, allow approximately 28 days at temperatures of 50°F or higher for SureBond SB-190 to cure fully. Avoid adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards on copper roofing.

For PBRMAX, position IceJax II and SnoJax II consistently over the appropriate minor ribs. Install mechanically fastened products through low, flat mounting areas into suitable structural support. SnowBreaker divides sliding snow and ice; it does not retain the snowpack.

Extreme Metal Fabricators Snow Guard Buying Checklist

  • Confirm the exact Extreme Metal Fabricators panel name before choosing any product.
  • Identify the roof type: standing seam, concealed fastener, exposed fastener, PBR-style, or corrugated.
  • Verify the attachment method: adhesive, screw-down, clamp-on, PBR bracket, or 2.67 corrugated bracket.
  • Check ground snow load. Individual glue-down or screw-down guards are generally best suited for lighter snow-load applications. Higher loads often require rail systems.
  • Request a layout rather than installing only in isolated areas such as doors, chimneys, or HVAC equipment.
  • Order samples or single units when you need a test fit. SnoBlox-Snojax products and components are available with no minimum order requirement.

Snow Guards for Extreme Metal Fabricators Metal Roofing Panels – Compatibility & Installation FAQ

Compatible products depend on the panel profile, roof material, and attachment method. Options include adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards, clamp-on SnoCleat guards, SnoBar and ColorBar rail systems, and selected screw-down products.
Do not install screw-down snow guards through concealed-fastener standing seam panels. Choose compatible clamp-on systems or adhesive-mounted guards where the material and mounting surface allow them.
These profiles accept the listed adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards, compatible SnoCleat RC and RCT guards, and standing seam SnoBar and ColorBar rail systems. Test-fit clamp samples before ordering a complete system.
CopperMax requires compatible clamp-on products. Adhesive-mounted guards using SB-190 are not recommended for copper. Confirm appropriate corrosion protection for the clamps and rails before installation.

CurveMax accepts compatible clamp-on SnoCleat RC and RCT guards and SnoBar and ColorBar rail systems. Do not use adhesive-mounted pad guards on this profile. Test-fit the appropriate clamp before ordering and request a project-specific layout.

They can be used on suitable flat, non-copper PeakMax applications. Copper versions require compatible clamp-on products, while curved applications require rail systems.
No. CORMAX has 3-inch corrugation spacing, which does not match the mounting geometry of the products listed in this guide, including systems designed for 2.67-inch corrugated panels.
Listed options include IceJax I, SnowBreaker, screw-mounted SnoJax I, standard SnowCatcher, SnoCleat PBR, and SnoBar or ColorBar PBR rails. IceJax II, SnoJax II, and SnoBlox Ace are not compatible. Rail installations require Tall ColorBrackets.
Both profiles accept the listed compatible polycarbonate guards, screw-mounted standard SnowCatcher guards, SnoCleat PBR, and SnoBar or ColorBar PBR rails. SnoJax I requires screw-down installation, and VMAX rail systems require Tall ColorBrackets.
Install them through suitable low, flat mounting areas into adequate underlying structure. Do not attach the listed guards or rail brackets directly to the high ribs. On PBRMAX, IceJax II and SnoJax II require consistent placement relative to the appropriate minor ribs.

Use SureBond SB-190 according to the product’s installation instructions and surface preparation requirements. Allow approximately 28 days at temperatures of 50°F or higher for full cure. Do not use it to adhesive-mount metal pad-style guards or install adhesive-mounted guards on copper panels.

The layout depends on ground snow load, roof slope, slope length, panel spacing, roof material, and the selected system. Request a project-specific layout from SnoBlox-Snojax instead of placing guards only above entrances or other isolated areas.
