Snow Guards for Rigid Global Buildings
Snow guards for Rigid Global Buildings roofing panels help manage the sudden movement of rooftop snow and ice above walkways, entrances, loading zones, parked vehicles, landscaping, mechanical equipment, and other areas where sliding accumulation can create hazards or property damage. Choosing the correct SnoBlox-Snojax solution starts with determining whether the Rigid Global Buildings roof uses a standing-seam concealed-fastener system or an exposed-fastener panel, followed by confirming the specific panel profile.
- Rigid Global Buildings standing-seam and exposed-fastener panels use different snow-retention attachment methods.
- Compatible clamp-on systems or adhesive-mounted guards should be used on standing-seam panels instead of screw-down attachments.
- The exposed-fastener PBR panel may accept adhesive-mounted guards, mechanically fastened guards, standard SnowCatcher products, PBR rails, or SnoCleat PBR systems when panel shape and mounting space allow.
- Rigid Global Buildings Hi-Tech and Platinum standing seam profiles support a broad range of adhesive-mounted and clamp-on options.
- Final selection should consider panel profile, roof slope, panel width, snow load, roof run, roof material, surface striations, and the complete recommended layout.
⚡ Rigid Global Buildings Primary Quick Selection Guide
Use this overview for quick profile-level guidance, then verify the exact fit in the detailed compatibility charts below.
- Hi-Tech standing seam panels: Compatible with adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards, SnoBar/ColorBar standing seam rails, RCB-3 systems, 2-bar rails, and SnoCleat RC/RCT.
- Platinum standing seam panels: Compatible with the same broad selection of adhesive-mounted guards and non-penetrating clamp-on snow retention systems.
- PBR exposed-fastener panels: Compatible with selected polycarbonate guards, standard SnowCatcher, SnoCleat PBR, SnoBar PBR, and ColorBar PBR when installed according to project requirements.
- Standing seam warning: Never drive screw-down snow guards through concealed-fastener standing seam panels.
About Rigid Global Buildings Roofing Systems
Rigid Global Buildings began operating in Houston, Texas, in 1990 and has grown into a manufacturer of pre-engineered metal buildings and structural steel systems for commercial, industrial, agricultural, institutional, educational, and other specialized projects. Its roofing options include the Hi-Tech and Platinum standing-seam systems, along with the exposed-fastener PBR roof and wall panel. Because these profiles use different seam configurations and fastening methods, snow guard compatibility must match the exact Rigid Global Buildings panel installed.
Snow Retention Solutions for Rigid Global Buildings Roofing
Rigid Global Buildings' standing-seam and exposed-fastener roof panels require different attachment strategies. Compatible standing-seam profiles typically use non-penetrating clamp-on assemblies or adhesive-mounted guards installed on a suitable flat pan. The exposed-fastener PBR profile may also support mechanically fastened products when installers secure them through the panel's low flats and into adequate structure.
Explore our complete selection of snow guards for metal roofs and use the charts below to identify the SnoBlox-Snojax products shown for each Rigid Global Buildings panel. “YES” means the chart lists the product as compatible with that profile. “NO” means the chart does not show it as a fit.
Snow Guards for Rigid Global Buildings Standing Seam Roof Panels
This guide covers the Rigid Global Buildings Hi-Tech and Platinum standing seam panels. The Hi-Tech profile uses a 24-inch width with 3-inch seams, while the Platinum profile uses 2-inch seams and comes in 16-inch or 18-inch widths. Both profiles accept adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards and compatible non-penetrating clamp-on snow retention systems.
Standing seam warning: Do not install screw-down snow guards through concealed-fastener standing seam panels. Use a compatible clamp-on solution where the seam geometry permits, or an adhesive-mounted guard where the panel provides an appropriate bonding surface.

Rigid Global Buildings' Hi-Tech and Platinum standing seam panels offer broad compatibility with adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards and compatible clamp-on snow retention systems.
Panels with striations may need additional adhesive to fill minor gaps and limit moisture paths beneath each guard. When using a rail system above pedestrian or parking areas, consider IceStopper attachments to help control snow and ice below the rail.
Snow Guards for Rigid Global Buildings Exposed Fastener Roof Panels
This guide focuses on the Rigid Global Buildings PBR roof and wall panel. The profile provides 36 inches of coverage, uses 1.25-inch major ribs spaced 12 inches apart, and includes low-flat areas that can accommodate several individual snow guards and rail-style systems when installers use the correct attachment method.
Exposed fastener reminder: When a screw-down guard or rail is compatible, fasten it through the low flat of the panel and into adequate supporting structure. Never attach individual snow guards or rail systems directly to the high ribs.

The Rigid Global Buildings PBR panel works with several pad-style polycarbonate guards, including EcoJax and SnoBlox Deuce, as well as the standard SnowCatcher, SnoCleat PBR, SnoBar PBR, and ColorBar PBR.
SnoCleat 2.67, SnoBar 2.67, and ColorBar 2.67 do not fit the Rigid Global Buildings PBR profile because those products require 2.67-inch corrugated panel geometry.
For screw-down installations, every fastener must engage appropriate structure below the roof panel. For adhesive-mounted polycarbonate guards, account for SureBond SB-190 curing requirements and do not use the adhesive on copper roofing.
Rigid Global Buildings Snow Guard Buying Checklist
- Confirm the exact name of the Rigid Global Buildings panel before selecting a product.
- Identify the roof type: standing seam, concealed fastener, exposed fastener, PBR-style, or corrugated.
- Verify the attachment method: adhesive, screw-down, clamp-on, PBR bracket, or 2.67 corrugated bracket.
- Check ground snow load. Individual adhesive-mounted or screw-down guards generally suit lighter snow-load applications. At the same time, higher loads often call for rail systems.
- Request a layout instead of placing products only above isolated areas such as doors, chimneys, or HVAC equipment.
- Order samples or single units when you need to confirm fit. SnoBlox-Snojax products and components have no minimum order requirement.
